I'm late in saying it but Happy New Year!
For those of you who haven't been paying attention, the following has happened since January 1st:
The Republicans won the Senate seat that was once held by liberal icon (and, let's just be honest here, alcoholic cad and possible murderer) Edward M. Kennedy.
As a result of Scott Brown's upset victory, the Democrats no longer have a filibuster-proof majority in the U.S. Senate.
As such, it would appear that Barack Obama's version of health care reform is now dead in the water.
Barack Obama has responded to this with the usual smugness.
The Left have reacted with a howl of pain that sounds strangely like the whine of a spoiled child.
As for me, I am happier now than I've been in a very long while. Politics just got fun again.
If 2009 found us trapped in the Obamanation, 2010 has found us living in America.
